CAN bus dump file

SDK series devices support CAN functionality. This allows to read vehicle parameters like fuel level, RPM, mileage and etc. Supported vehicle list can be found in FMset → Settings → CAN files.

If your vehicle is not in the list, follow the procedure below.

 

  1. Install Tachograph application.

2. Copy tachograph application ID.

3. Open your Settings template → Miscellaneous → Add → Tacho file server → Paste ID

Note: port number is always 7511.

4. Navigate to Hardware → CAN1 or CAN2 → CAN function ID → Add → CAN function → CAN dump read on IN5 or IN7

Note: CAN2 port on FMS 500 Tacho can not be used for vehicle CAN bus parameters.

5. Save settings template and wait until device updates.

6. Start your vehicle and wait until you receive .can file in Tachograph application.

7. Send .can file to support. Include vehicle brand, model, year, mileage and fuel level data next to dump file.
