When wiring in fuel sensor you should select between RS232 and RS485 communication. RS232 allows single sensor to be connected, RS485 allows multiple, but sensor needs to be configured to have different network address.
1.1 RS232 Connection
To connect Escort TD series fuel level sensor to Xirgo Global devices 4 wires needs to be connected, 2 power wires and 2 RS232 communication wires.
At once only one peripheral can be connected through RS232 device.
It is important to notice that RS-232 Rx of peripheral connects to RS-232 Tx of tracker and RS-232 Tx to RS-232 Rx.
1.2 RS485 Connection
To connect Escort TD Series fuel level sensor to Xirgo Global devices 4 wires needs to be connected, 2 power wires and 2 RS485 communication wires.
It is important to notice that RS-485 A of peripheral connects to RS-485 A of tracker and RS-485 B to RS-485 B.
2. Adjustments In Configuration
2.1. Adding Script
In configuration template ‘Script'->’Script1'->'Script' select ‘BCE_MEAS_LLS-FUEL-Sensor-SCR-1_8’ script. When script is added script settings will appear below
2.2. Configuring Script Peripheral Settings
In newly appeared tab ‘Peripheral Settings' select ‘Peripheral Interface’ should be selected same as sensor was wired ‘RS232’ or ‘RS485’ and ‘Peripheral Baudrate, bit/s’ as '19200’
2.3. Configuring Script LLS Settings
‘Network Address’ by default is set to ‘1' both in LLS sensor and script configuration, when connecting single through RS232 this parameter doesn’t need to be changed.
If sensor is connected by RS485 when using single sensor ‘Network Address’ parameter doesn’t need to be changed. However if using multiple LLS sensors connected through RS485 'Network Address' needs to be changed to one that was configured in LLS sensor, more about sensor configuration read paragraph 3. Escort TD Series LLS Documentation.
For ‘Temperature, °C', ‘Relative level’, 'Frequency’ select desired sensors where values will be saved, take note of selected sensors.
For this example we choose:
Temperature - sensor 16389
Relative fuel level - sensor 16390
frequency - sensor 16391

For device to report sensor values to telemetry platform sensors needs to be included into telemetry payload.
