1. Physical Connection
One pin of Panic button should be connected to contact Plus, another pin - to any digital input of device.
1.1 Wiring Diagrams
This should be used as an example. Panic button can be wired to any of available digital input.
2. Adjustments in Configuration
2.1 Adding Panic Button Payload Trigger
In XDM configuration template, 'Data recording' section telemetry payload triggering signal can be selected as input connected to panic button.
Per bellow example telemetry payload will be triggered by IN2, IN3, IN4, IN5 change
2.2 Input Threshold Adjustment
Default voltage threshold for inputs to be triggered is 5V. If panic button is connected to voltage source lower than 5V, digital inputs threshold should be altered accordingly. This can be done in XDM configuration template section ‘Hardware'->’Digital inputs threshold'->'Inputs threshold settings'.
For other use cases such as engine start blocking, SMS notification please look into our script examples.
