First device activation guideline

Testing and first activation we recommend to make at your office or workshop.


Physical connection.

Step 1: Open the device, put the SIM card in (pin code must be taken off, preferably SIM with ability to receive SMS messages).

Step 2: Connect the device to the external power source (at least 9V). 3 wires are enough for testing and device activation:

Plus (red wire) connect to the Plus of power supply.

Minus (black wire) connect to the Minus (ground).

IN5 (gray/black wire) connect to the plus of power supply (it is for testing in the office only, in the vehicle it should be connected to Ignition wire).

Note. In FMS500 One IN5 has blue color.


Device configuration.

Step 1: Open the configuration tool https://xdm.xgfleet.eu . Go to Devices tab and click the button named “Search”. You will see all your devices. To find a specific device, enter its IMEI or part of it in the search parameters section.

Step 2: Devices are identified by IMEI number. Click on the device you are going to test.

Click on tab next to Logic template option and chose default template from newly opened window:

Step 3: Mark option „Use server settings“. Enter Host, Port and chose protocol in Direct Transfer part for communication with your tracking platform, enter SIM card APN details (name, user, password), enter SIM card number in international format (ex. +XXXXXXXX) and SMS numbers (numbers of your technical support).

Click “Save”.


You can monitor device real time status by clicking on the small arrow icon next to device IMEI. Wait until settings are updated. After update is done, the device should start sending to your tracking platform.
