Eco Driving
Eco Driving function allows You to get speed, braking and acceleration parameters of Your vehicle. It helps to prevent overspeeding, harsh driving and can assure better traffic safety.
Eco Driving function works because of the installed accelerometer and GPS receiver in BCE tracking devices.
It is available in all BCE tracking devices: ONE, Light, Light+, StCAN, XtCAN, Tacho.
I. Configuring to send harsh values to Monitoring platform.
Devices support three eco driving parameters: acceleration, braking, cornering. All values above 0.02G, will be sent to platform.
Device is measuring maximum value of parameter, which happened between the messages.
Make following configuration to enable this feature:
a) Adjustments in Logic Template.
In function 4.4 F_Dataset7_Mask4 select value “Acceleration max values”.
b) Displaying in Monitoring platform.
Example how acceleration values are shown in the monitoring platform.
II. Configuring internal signal to triggered by harsh events.
You can configure the device so that if one of the Eco Driving parameters is reached it would generate internal signal that will activate output of device.
Scenario: When driver accelerates, brakes or takes a harsh corner a buzzer connected to OUT2 inside vehicle will turn on and will give a warning signal to the driver.
Step 1: Set value in 6.b F_AccelerationTreshold.
Step 2: Set value in 6.c F_BrakingTreshold.
Step 3: Set value in 6.d F_CorneringTreshold
Step 4: At “5.f F_OUT2_Control” select value “On-Minus” when the condition “Modem on” is active and add another line and choose opposite, with the value “Off1” when condition “Modem on” is inactive.
