GSM operator groups
GSM operator group is used with devices when it is necessary to control connection with specific operators. If unit has to connect to any operator then group usage is not necessary.
In order to create new group, take following actions:
I. Creating GSM operator group.
Step 1: Hover the mouse pointer over the settings bar and select GSM operator groups from the drop down menu:
Step 2: Press New GSM operator group in order to create new group:
Step 3: Fill in the required fields (marked in red):
II. Inserting preferred GSM operator.
Step 4: Enter operator codes in the operator entry section (you can add one or more codes) and press Add new:
Step 5: After you insert all preferred operator codes, you will see them listed in the table on the right side. Click Create button to save the group.
Note. Operator code consists of mobile country code (MCC) and mobile network code (MNC). These codes should be given by your network provider. Examples: 24601, 25549 (here MCC, MNC).
III. Inserting banned GSM operator (optional).
Step 6 (Optional): Add operator to ban list. This step is not necessary and not being used in most cases.
There is a speacial code “00101” after which all operators will be banned.
Example bellow:
28801 - preferred
28803 - preferred
00101 - code that draws the line between prefeed and banned operator
28802 - banned
