What is CAN dump file?

All Xirgo Global FMS500 series devices with a CAN interface have the ability to scan the CAN bus of the vehicle and send the corresponding file for analysis.

By doing this procedure, we can clarify the visible parameters in the CAN line that the device is connected to and also suggest recommended profile that has the most matching parameters.

Also by analyzing the CAN dump file in some cases where parameters are not sent on default PGNs, we can search for required parameters by comparing the values from the vehicle’s dashboard. (eg. Mileage, Fuel level, Odometer)
