Creating geozones (Google earth)

Before performing any operations involving geozones, we need to create a geozone first. There are two simple and effective methods to create a geozone using Google tools.

Method 1: Creating a Geozone with Google Earth

Upon opening google earth click on ‘new’ project button.

In dropdown menu select ‘New local KML file’

Then click on ‘Add path or polygon’ button pointed in image bellow and draw your geozone:

After drawing geozone on the right side of user interface you’ll receive prompt to save it, click on ‘Save to project’

Once geozone is saved on the left side of user interface click on three dots above all created geozones and select Export as KML file.

KML file should be uploaded in XDM environment for further configuration.
