Sleep mode
Using sleep mode you can extend lifetime of the battery and also prevent discharge of vehicle’s battery.
Sleep mode configuration can be found in the main tree of Setting template:
Below is example of configuration:
Group name
It’s a name of the settings. It can be change to short description to avoid need of expanding all tree to check the settings.
Sleep condition
Select here when should device go into sleep mode. Possible options are:
Always awake | Device will ignore configuration of sleep mode. |
Sleep when IN5 not present | Device will go into sleep mode when digital input IN5 is inactive. IN5 is recommended for connection of physical ignition. |
Sleep when motion not present | Device will go into sleep mode when there is no motion. Strength of motion is expressed in G power and sensitivity can be configured in “Motion threshold” (check below on the page). |
Sleep when power not present | Device will go into sleep mode when looses power feeding. |
Sleep when IN7 not present | Device will go into sleep mode when virtual sensor IN7 is inactive. IN7 is based on input voltage and gets activated from 13.2V on 12V systems, and from 26.6V on 24V systems. |
Sleep when CAN activity not present | Device will go into sleep mode when CANbus communication is inactive. |
Sleep when motion and IN7 not present | Device will go into sleep mode when no motion and engine is off. |
Sleep when Signal 1 not present | Device will go into sleep mode when virtual Static Signal 1 is Off. This signal can be controlled by SMS, GPRS command, or script. |
Control over script | Device will go into sleep mode when meet conditions, described in script assigned to the device. |
Sleep period, min
Sleep period means how long should device be in sleep mode. Works if wake up condition of “Sleep timeout” is used. Values in minutes.
Wake up conditions
Here you can choose events, on which device should wake up from sleep mode. Possible options:
Motion | Motion stronger than threshold set in “Motion threshold” happens. |
IN2 | Physical input IN2 receives power signal. |
IN3 | Physical input IN3 receives power signal. |
IN4 | Physical input IN4 receives power signal. |
IN5 | Physical input IN5 receives power signal. |
Sleep Timeout | Minutes, set in “Sleep period” passed. |
GSM activity | SIM card detects GSM activity (SMS or call). |
CAN activity | CAN communication starts |
OneWire activity | 1Wire interface gets iButton or RFID attached |
Stay awake period, s
Period how long device should be awake when wakes up based on “Sleep timeout”. After set seconds past, if device meets “Sleep condition”, will go into sleep mode again. Values in seconds.
Motion threshold
Threshold of G power to consider that motion happened. Used when wake up based on Motion is selected. Values in G power.
